An opportunity exists for an experienced Registered Nurse to provide essential care within a K-12 school setting in Alexandria, VA. This contract role is set to start ASAP and continue through June 13, 2025, offering a dynamic environment where you can make a significant impact on students' health and wellness.

Qualifications:

• Active Virginia RN licensure
• Proven experience in assessing and managing different seizure types
• Competence in g-tube feedings and providing specialized care
• Ability to support non-verbal students, adapting to their unique needs
• Previous experience in a school or similar setting is highly preferred
• Strong communication and clinical skills to collaborate effectively with staff and students

Location: Alexandria, VA

Responsibilities:

• Assess and respond to the health needs of students experiencing seizure activity
• Provide comprehensive nursing care tailored to individual student requirements
• Collaborate with educational staff to ensure a supportive environment for students with medical needs
• Administer medications and monitor their effects as part of ongoing health assessments
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date health records for all students under your care
• Ride the bus as required to accompany and support students during transport
