Job Description

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking dedicated Teachers of the Visually Impaired (TVI) for school-based positions for the 2025-2026 school year. This is an excellent opportunity to support students with visual impairments and help them thrive in an educational setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized instruction to students with visual impairments.
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to meet student needs.
  • Teach Braille, assistive technology, and other adaptive learning strategies.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff.
  • Adapt classroom materials to ensure accessibility for students with visual impairments.

Requirements:

  • Valid state certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired.
  • Experience working with students with visual impairments.
  • Knowledge of Braille, assistive technology, and orientation & mobility strategies preferred.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
