Position: Teacher for the Visually Impaired
Location: East Moline, IL
Duration: 2025-2026 School Year | Contract
Schedule: 37.5 hours per week | Virtual or Onsite

In the upcoming 2025-2026 school year, dedicated and skilled professionals are sought to provide essential educational support to students with visual impairments. This role involves delivering direct services, crafting Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and offering valuable consultation to staff members within K-12 settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct instructional services to students with visual impairments, tailored to meet their unique educational needs.
  • Develop, implement, and revise Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Provide consultation and guidance to school staff regarding strategies and resources to support students with visual impairments.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust instructional methods to promote effective learning outcomes.
  • Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment that encourages student independence and confidence.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Illinois Professional Educator License.
  • Endorsement in Visual Impairments.
