Job Description

Sunbelt staffing has partnered with a school district near Keyport, NJ  to fill a full time job position for a school psychologist for the end of the school year. This position primarily deals with students in grades 1st-4th with mild disabilities. 

The School Psychologist will provide a range of mental health services to our students, including assessment, counseling, crisis intervention, and consultation with families, teachers, and administrators to support student learning and well-being.

Qualifications:

  •  NJ school psych license REQUIRED 
  • Master's degree or higher in school psychology or a related field
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of psychological and educational assessment, behavior management, and counseling techniques

What is a School Psychologist?

As a school psychologist, you support students’ mental health, learning and behavior. You assist them with the ability to achieve their full academic, social, behavioral and emotional potential.   • Supporting smooth functioning in a classroom setting

To become a school psychologist, you must at least have a master’s degree. Often prospective school psychologists go on to get their Doctorate of Education or Doctorate of Philosophy after starting their career or finishing their master’s. Certification requirements differ based on location and state.
