Job Description
An opportunity exists for an experienced Occupational Therapist to support students in a dynamic educational environment in Bridgeport, CT. This role focuses on providing therapeutic services to elementary students, fostering their growth and development from pre-K through 6th grade.
Qualifications:
- Valid Connecticut Occupational Therapy License
- Experience in school-based therapy preferred
- Expertise in home health and teletherapy is a plus
- Strong understanding of social-emotional learning models
- Ability to work collaboratively with educators and staff
Location:
- Bridgeport, CT
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students' needs
- Provide occupational therapy services to a caseload of 11 students
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to create a supportive learning environment
- Assess student progress and adjust therapy techniques as required
- Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and student progress
