Job Description
Dynamic opportunity for a dedicated Occupational Therapist ready to make a meaningful impact in an educational setting. This position is based in Bridgeport, CT, within an engaging elementary school environment, serving a diverse group of 11 students from pre-K to 6th grade. The role focuses on providing supportive and therapeutic services tailored to the unique needs of each student, fostering their development and learning.
Qualifications:
- Valid Connecticut Occupational Therapy License
- Previous experience in school-based therapy preferred
- Strong background in teletherapy and healthcare settings
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to implement trauma-sensitive practices in therapy
Responsibilities:
- Assess and develop individualized treatment plans for students
- Provide occupational therapy services in accordance with IEPs
- Collaborate with educators and parents to support student goals
- Utilize both in-person and teletherapy modalities as appropriate
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress
- Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities
