Job Description

An opportunity has emerged for a dedicated professional to provide specialized support to a preschool student in a 1:1 capacity. This role is crucial for fostering a safe and nurturing learning environment for a three-year-old student with unique medical needs.

Location:
Lincoln, RI

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver personalized care and assistance to the student, ensuring their needs are met throughout the school day.
  • Supervise and support the student during bus rides and classroom activities.
  • Collaborate with educational staff to create an inclusive and supportive learning atmosphere.
  • Monitor the student’s health and safety, particularly regarding their feeding tube and risk of aspiration.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with parents and teachers regarding the student’s progress and needs.

Qualifications:

  • Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) certification required.
  • Previous experience working with children, particularly those with special needs, preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students and staff.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations, demonstrating problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of medical procedures, particularly related to feeding tubes, is an asset.
