Job Description

Title: Paraprofessional (Contract)

Full-time

A school in Cave Creek, AZ is hiring a school paraprofessional for the upcoming school year to join their educational team.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in delivering instruction and implementing lesson plans.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with special needs or learning challenges.
  • Support classroom management and reinforce positive behavior.
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs).
  • Help students develop essential skills and provide emotional support.
  • Assist with classroom organization and preparation of materials.
  • Monitor student progress and communicate with teachers.
  • Ensure student safety and well-being.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and behaviors.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree or completion of a paraprofessional training program is preferred.
  • Previous experience working with children/adults with autism needed
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.
