Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Social Worker to join our team for the upcoming school year in the Lexington, KY area. This full-time position offers the opportunity to make a profound impact on the academic, social, and emotional development of our students.
Responsibilities:

  • Providing individual or group counseling sessions to support students with emotional, social, and behavioral challenges.
  • Responding to emergencies and crises, such as bullying, family issues, or mental health concerns, to ensure the safety and well-being of students.
  • Working closely with teachers, administrators, and other staff to develop strategies for supporting students and fostering a positive school environment.
  • Connecting students and families with community resources, such as mental health services, housing assistance, or academic support programs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in social work (BSW) or a master's degree in social work (MSW) from a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE).
  • Have at least two years of supervised professional experience in a school setting.
  • Current state certification or licensure as a School Social Worker

What is an LPN/LVN?

  • Getting patients ready for medical procedures

Professionals in this role have obtained their diploma, certification, or associate degree from an accredited nursing program. In order to be an LPN or an LPV, you must complete at least one year of nursing education and have hands-on experience at hospitals or other healthcare facilities like nursing homes.

After gaining the knowledge necessary, you must pass the National Council Licensure Examination for Practical Nursing, the state exam and the NCLEX-PN exam.
