Job Title: Travel IR RN
Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Assignment Duration: 13 Weeks
Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a skilled Travel IR RN for a 13-week assignment in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Milwaukee offers a rich cultural scene, with a variety of dining, entertainment, and outdoor activities to enjoy during your assignment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care for patients undergoing General IR and Neuro IR procedures.
- Assist with a variety of procedures including Kyphoplasty, vertebroplasty, central lines/PICCs, fistulograms, IVC filters, and more.
- Work in a CT Room supported by IR for procedures like cryoablation, biopsies, and drains.
- Monitor and manage patients, particularly in relation to IV pumps (Alaris) and medication dispensing (Pyxis).
- Document patient information and care in EPIC EMR system.
- Provide high-quality care to approximately 40-50 patients per day.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in IR nursing.
- BLS and WI RN License required.
- Experience with Siemens and GE equipment is preferred.
- EPIC EMR, PACS (Change Healthcare), and Alaris IV pumps experience preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment handling a large volume of patients.

Being an IR nurse requires a high level of knowledge, experience, skills and advanced education. Similar to other nursing roles, you will need your BSN from an accredited institution. After completing your BSN, you must pass the NCLEX-RN examination and gain hands-on experience as an RN and radiology nurse. As this is a nursing specialty, you can expect to spend at least five years gaining experience in a residency program before becoming board certified.
