Job Description
Join our team as an ICU RN for a thrilling 13-week travel assignment in Maine. We are searching for a compassionate and experienced nurse to deliver top-quality care to critically ill patients. Your duties will include managing complex patient cases, performing invasive procedures, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
Qualifications:
- Current State RN license
- ACLS and BLS certification
- At least 2 years of recent ICU experience
- Proven ability to thrive in high-pressure situations

ICU nurses treat patients who require the utmost care due to critical conditions. Unlike an ER RN, this role will typically only see a few patients per day so they can provide their full attention to the details of each patient. Due to the extensive documentation per patient, ICU RNs typically see 1-3 patients per shift so they can provide thorough and detailed care.
ICU Nurse Duties
- Some of the responsibilities of ICU nurses can include:
- Monitoring and evaluating the progress of patients
- Diagnosing and treating patients by ordering, interpreting, and evaluating diagnostic tests
- Administering medication
- Maintaining patients records
To be an ICU RN, you must complete the same degree and credentialing requirements as a registered nurse. In addition to those requirements, candidates must have experience in patient care and have earned a Certified Critical Care Nurse certificate through AACN.
