Job Title: Virtual Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH)

Location: Illinois (Remote)
Schedule: Full-time (1099 contract position)

Overview: VocoVision is seeking a passionate TDHH who will provide specialized education to students who are deaf or hard of hearing through online platforms, focusing on individualized learning and communication support.

VocoVision is a telehealth platform that connects students with qualified speech, occupational, and mental health professionals. Designed for schools, it facilitates seamless remote therapy, enhancing accessibility and ensuring personalized care for every student.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Use virtual tools to deliver engaging lessons, incorporating sign language.
  • Work with teachers, specialists, and families to support student learning.
  • Utilize assistive technologies to enhance communication.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in education or deaf education.
  • Valid state certification for teaching deaf and hard-of-hearing students.
  • Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL).
  • Experience with online teaching platforms.
