Virtual Special Education Coordinator for New Hampshire Schools

Position Summary:
VocoVision is looking for a Virtual Special Education Coordinator to oversee and implement special education programs for students in an online environment. In this role, you’ll work closely with teachers, families, and school staff to develop IEPs, ensure regulatory compliance, and support professional development for educators.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the creation, review, and updating of IEPs for virtual students.
  • Ensure adherence to IDEA, Section 504, and other relevant laws.
  • Maintain communication between staff, parents, and service providers to meet student needs.
  • Monitor student progress toward IEP goals and prepare reports.
  • Provide training and ongoing support to virtual educators.
  • Advocate for students with disabilities to ensure access to necessary resources and support.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Special Education (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Valid New Hampshire Special Education certification.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in special education (virtual experience is a plus).
  • Knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, and virtual education tools.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with IEP management software.
  • Leadership or coordination experience within a school setting.
  • Familiarity with trauma-informed practices and strategies for supporting students with behavioral needs.
