Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sign Language Interpreter to join our team in a virtual capacity. This role offers the opportunity to work flexibly from home while making a significant impact on the lives of your clients.

Responsibilities:

Translate lectures, discussions, and other classroom activities into sign language for deaf students. Interpret questions and comments from students back to the teacher.
Facilitate communication between students and their peers during group activities, lunchtime, and extracurricular events, promoting inclusivity and social integration.
Assist in parent-teacher conferences, school assemblies, and other school-related events to ensure deaf students and their families can participate fully.
Advocate for the needs of deaf students within the school environment, collaborating with teachers and administrators to implement accommodations and support services.

Qualifications:

MUST have an EIPA score of at least 3.5
Bachelor's degree in Sign Language Interpreter (or equivalent).
Proven experience as Sign Language Interpreter, preferably including telepractice experience.
