Virtual School Social Worker (SSW) – Hiring Now in Michigan (Remote)

Location: Remote (Serving Schools Across Michigan)
Employment Type: Full-Time or Part-Time, 1099 Contract

About the Role:

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Virtual School Social Worker (SSW) to provide essential support to K-12 students across Michigan. This fully remote role allows you to work from home while addressing the social, emotional, and academic challenges students face. If you’re passionate about making a difference and creating a positive impact on students' lives, we’d love to have you on board!

Key Responsibilities:

Provide Counseling: Offer virtual individual and group counseling sessions to support students with social, emotional, and behavioral concerns.
Crisis Intervention: Respond to student crises, offering virtual intervention and support.
Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop intervention plans that help students succeed academically and emotionally.
Monitor Progress: Track student well-being and academic progress, making adjustments to intervention strategies as necessary.
Resource Coordination: Assist families in connecting with community resources to ensure the holistic well-being of students.

Qualifications:

Certification: Valid Michigan School Social Worker certification (required).
Experience: Previous experience working in schools or providing social work services to K-12 students is preferred.
Tech Skills: Familiarity with teletherapy platforms and virtual communication tools.
Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with a focus on student advocacy and support.
