Job Title: Virtual DHH (Deaf and Hard of Hearing) Teacher – 1099 Contract

Position Overview: VocoVision is currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Virtual DHH (Deaf and Hard of Hearing) Teacher to support students in North Carolina. This 1099 contract position offers the flexibility to provide specialized, remote instruction, helping students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing succeed in a virtual learning environment.
Responsibilities:
Deliver personalized virtual lessons to Deaf and Hard of Hearing students, tailored to their IEP goals.
Develop and implement IEPs to support students’ academic, social, and communication development.
Use American Sign Language (ASL), visual strategies, and assistive technology to engage students in the curriculum.
Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to each student's education.
Monitor student progress, adjusting instruction and strategies as needed to meet goals.
Maintain clear communication with school teams, ensuring students' needs are being met effectively.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education or a related field.
Active North Carolina state certification in Deaf and Hard of Hearing Education.
Experience teaching Deaf or Hard of Hearing students is preferred.
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Comfortable working independently and remotely.
