Ultrasound Technologist Position in Oak Lawn, IL

Location: Oak Lawn, Illinois

Type: Travel Contract

Shift: 8-Hour Evening Shift (4:30 PM - 1:00 AM)

Duration: 13 Weeks

Job Description: Sunbelt Staffing is seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist for an evening shift position in Oak Lawn, IL. This role offers an opportunity to work in a Level 1 Trauma facility just 45 minutes from Chicago. The position includes coverage for general ultrasound, vascular, abdominal, OBGYN, ED, and some pediatric ED cases. You will be working in a 1:1 patient ratio environment, ensuring quality care.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform ultrasound procedures including OBGYN, abdominal, vascular, and pediatric scans.
Utilize EPIC for documentation and GE Logiq E9, GE Logiq E10, and GE PACS for imaging.
Participate in an on-call rotation to cover the third shift in case of call-outs.
Provide care across various units, including inpatient, outpatient, emergency department, OB, Peds, and vascular.
Maintain compliance with the Joint Commission standards, including background checks and drug screening.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in ultrasound, specifically in OBGYN and abdominal imaging.
Active BLS and ARDMS certifications in Abdomen and OBGYN.
Experience with EPIC documentation system.
Preferred: Experience in vascular imaging, pediatric care, and previous hospital settings.

Weekend and Holiday Rotation:

Every other weekend
Every other holiday
