Job Description

Are you a dedicated Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) looking for an impactful role in the Jurupa Valley area? Join our dynamic team where we're seeking a talented TVI to empower students with visual impairments to achieve academic success and independence.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct instruction tailored to students with visual impairments, utilizing effective instructional strategies and materials.
  • Conduct thorough assessments to determine students' visual needs and create individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with the IEP team.
  • Work closely with classroom teachers and support staff to ensure the implementation of appropriate accommodations and modifications for students with visual impairments.
  • Provide valuable consultation and support to families and caregivers to foster students' educational and developmental growth.

Requirements:

  • Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education or a related field.
  • Possess a valid California teaching credential with a certification in Visual Impairments (TVI).
  • Demonstrate previous experience working with students with visual impairments and proficiency in Braille instruction.
  • Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
