Job Title: Travel Ultrasound Technologist - Evening Shift
Location: Grand Junction, CO
Type: Full-Time Contract Position
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: 10 Hour Shifts, Evening Shift
Job Description:
Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a skilled and dedicated Travel Ultrasound Technologist for a 13-week contract position in Grand Junction, CO. This evening shift role, with 10-hour shifts, provides an excellent opportunity for an experienced Ultrasound Technologist to work in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform Ultrasound Procedures:
- Conduct a variety of Ultrasound procedures utilizing high-frequency sound waves to evaluate internal organs and vessels for disease diagnosis.
- Prepare exam rooms, obtain informed consent, and request accurate clinical history as necessary for exams.
- Review patient history and determine proper protocol selection.
- Explain examination methods, position patients, and assess their status and needs.
- Complete appropriate diagnostic techniques/tests to ascertain the patient’s condition and perform necessary interventions.

Review and Evaluate Tests:
- Review and evaluate completed tests for quality, completeness, and accuracy.
- Ensure quality images and coordinate the preparation of images/exams and necessary documentation for physician partners.

Documentation and Communication:
- Document and communicate patient-related information thoroughly and accurately.
- Inform patients of physician’s instructions or ancillary caregiver’s observations or concerns and consider these in providing appropriate care.
- Meet the needs of patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team through effective communication, coordination, and documentation ensuring safety, care, courtesy, and efficiency.
- Ensure safe and effective hand-off between shifts by communicating clearly with the oncoming shift.

Monitor Equipment:
- Monitor equipment reliability and safety, report issues and/or repairs or service due.
- Order and stock supplies, clean rooms, and equipment to maintain the work environment.
- Transport patients as needed.

Quality Initiatives:
- Actively participate in quality initiatives, including patient satisfaction, patient care, and workflow improvements.

Promote Mission and Values:
- Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCL Health, and abide by service behavior standards.

Additional Duties:
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- ARDMS certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working as an Ultrasound Technologist in a hospital setting.
- Valid Colorado state license in Ultrasound Technology.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Ability to travel to and from the workplace.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen in accordance with Joint Commission standards.
- Strong understanding of ultrasound safety protocols.
- Excellent technical skills in operating ultrasound equipment.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
- Demonstrated commitment to high standards of patient care and professionalism.
Pay Range:
- $1900-2100 weekly, dependent on experience.
