Ultrasound Sonographer Position in Oak Lawn, IL

Location: Oak Lawn, Illinois

Type: Travel Contract

Shift: 8-Hour Evening Shift (4:30 PM - 1:00 AM)

Duration: 13 Weeks

Job Description: Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Sonographer for an evening shift role in Oak Lawn, IL. This position is based at a Level 1 Trauma facility, just 45 minutes from Chicago, where you'll work with a diverse patient population. The role involves performing a variety of ultrasound scans, including OBGYN, abdominal, vascular, emergency department, and pediatric cases.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct ultrasound scans in OBGYN, abdominal, vascular, and pediatric areas.
Use EPIC for documentation and work with GE Logiq E9, GE Logiq E10, and GE PACS systems.
Participate in an on-call rotation to provide coverage for the third shift in case of call-outs.
Float between various units, including inpatient, outpatient, ED, OB, Peds, and vascular.
Ensure compliance with Joint Commission requirements, including background checks and drug screening.

Qualifications:

At least 2 years of experience in ultrasound, with a focus on OBGYN and abdominal imaging.
Active BLS and ARDMS certifications in Abdomen and OBGYN.
Experience with the EPIC documentation system.
Preferred: Experience with vascular imaging, pediatric care, and work in a hospital setting.

Weekend and Holiday Rotation:

Every other weekend
Every other holiday
