Location: Urbana, IL

Duration: 13 Weeks

Hours per Week: 36

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Job Description:
Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a skilled RN for the Med/Surg Cardio-Pulmonary Unit in Urbana, IL. This travel position involves providing comprehensive care for cardiac and pulmonary patients, using the nursing process and resources available. You'll be responsible for managing patient care, documenting with EMR, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure excellent patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver care to patients with cardiac and pulmonary conditions
Develop and adjust patient care plans in coordination with patients and families
Administer medications, manage IVs and blood transfusions, and monitor patient responses
Prepare patients for procedures and manage pain effectively
Document patient care and progress using EMR
Provide education and discharge instructions to patients
Ensure all basic care needs are met and handle call lights
Communicate effectively with team members and manage any conflicts

Qualifications:

At least 2 years of experience in a similar nursing role
ASN required; BSN preferred
Valid Illinois RN License
Current BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA
Experience with EMR systems and cardio-pulmonary patient care
Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and onboarding in compliance with the Joint Commission
