Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our PACU team as a Traveler for a 13-week contract. The assignment will begin on 12/03/24 and end on 03/08/25.

As an RN-PACU, you will provide high-quality care to pediatric patients recovering from surgery, while collaborating with a dynamic team of healthcare professionals. This is a great opportunity for a nurse with specialized PACU experience who is adaptable to varying shifts and patient needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive care to pediatric patients in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
Monitor patient recovery from anesthesia and surgical procedures, ensuring a smooth transition to discharge
Respond to patient and family needs with compassion and professionalism
Participate in interdisciplinary rounds, collaborating with physicians, surgeons, and anesthesia providers
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all care protocols are followed

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: BSN required
Licensure/Certification: Active RN license
Experience: PACU experience is required
Certifications: BLS and ACLS- AHA
Additional: Traveler experience preferred but not required

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Discharge and Admit processes is a plus.
