Job Description

Sunbelt Staffing is actively seeking a compassionate and skilled NICU RN for a 13-week travel assignment. This is a great opportunity to work in a leading medical facility, providing high-level care for neonates in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care to critically ill neonates, including premature and low birth weight infants, and those with congenital conditions.
  • Perform assessments, implement care plans, and monitor the health status of newborns.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including neonatologists, respiratory therapists, and other NICU staff.
  • Administer medications, IV fluids, and nutrition, and assist with specialized procedures.
  • Support and educate families on infant care and NICU processes.
  • Maintain accurate and timely charting using the facility's EMR system.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent NICU experience required.
  • Licensure: Active ILRN license.
  • Certifications:
    • BLS (Basic Life Support) 
    • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) 
    • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) 
  • Strong understanding of neonatal care, critical thinking, and excellent communication skills.
