Travel MRI Technologist - Syracuse, New York

Qualifications:

  • A.A.S. in Radiologic Technology or equivalent
  • New York State license/registration
  • Minimum of one year CT/MRI experience as a radiologic technologist
  • ARRT certification required
  • Must successfully pass pre-employment health clearance

Duties: The MRI Technologist is responsible for performing radiographic examinations under the direction of departmental radiologists. Duties include greeting patients, explaining the examination process, positioning patients, and setting the proper exposure factors to obtain high-quality radiographs. The technologist will practice appropriate radiation safety and protection to ensure that patients do not undergo unnecessary radiation exposure. The MRI Technologist must operate imaging equipment efficiently, ensuring the production of quality studies and reporting any equipment malfunctions to the immediate supervisor. Additionally, the role involves processing films, inputting data into the Radiology Information System for documentation and billing purposes, and following department procedures and protocols as outlined in the Policy and Procedure Manual. The technologist will perform radiologic examinations based on the needs of the referring physician and radiologist.

Licenses and Certifications:

  • ARRT certification (MRI)
  • New York State license/registration

Shift: Day shift, 13-week contract
