Key Responsibilities

As an IR Technologist, you’ll play a critical role in supporting complex procedures that improve patient outcomes. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with a wide range of vascular interventional procedures , such as TIPS, arterial vascular intervention, vein ablation, sclerotherapy, and TVLB.
  • Supporting hybrid OR procedures , including EVAR, TEVAR, and TCAR.
  • Aiding in oncology interventions like Therasphere, Sirsphere, TACE, cryoablation, and microwave ablation.
  • Performing MSK procedures , including vertebroplasty, RF ablation, and percutaneous bone screw placement.
  • Managing non-vascular interventions , such as nephrostomy placements, ureteral stenting, G-tube insertions, chest tube placements, and Pleurex catheterization.
  • Operating advanced imaging systems from industry leaders like Siemens, Philips, and GE .
  • Utilizing EPIC and PACS systems for seamless documentation and workflow management.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe and efficient procedures.

Requirements

To excel in this role, you’ll need the following qualifications:

  • Certifications/Licenses :
  • Active ARRT certification (required).
  • Valid Wisconsin radiology license (required).
  • Vascular Interventional (VI) certification through ARRT is highly preferred.
  • Experience :
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in interventional radiology or related settings.
  • Proven expertise in vascular IR, hybrid OR, and non-vascular interventions is a plus.
  • Skills :
  • Proficiency with Siemens, Philips, and GE imaging systems.
  • Strong knowledge of EPIC/PACS systems and coding/billing practices in interventional radiology.
  • Education :
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program .
  • Soft Skills :
  • Exceptional communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.

    Shift Details

  • Schedule : 4 10 hour shifts with minimal on-call requirements.
  • Hours : Day shifts, typically 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM.
