CVOR RN – Milwaukee, WI

Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Position: CVOR Registered Nurse (RN)
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: 8-Hour Day Shifts, Monday – Friday
Hours: 40 hours/week
Start Times: Flexible start times between 5:00 AM - 6:30 AM

Job Details:

We’re seeking a skilled and experienced CVOR RN for a 13-week contract in Milwaukee, WI. Join a supportive team, enjoy the vibrant city life, and make a meaningful impact in patients' lives.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Providing top-quality perioperative care to cardiovascular surgery patients
  • Preparing the operating room, including necessary tools, equipment, and patient-specific instruments
  • Assisting the surgical team and managing post-operative recovery for CVOR patients

Skills Required:

  • Strong CVOR background across all specialties
  • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance in procedures such as:
    • CABG (Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting)
    • TAVR (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement)
    • Valve replacements
    • Robotic thoracic cases (e.g., lobectomy, hernia repair)
    • Generator exchanges and lead extractions
    • Heart transplants
    • Femoral-popliteal (Fem-Pop) bypass
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment and capability to adapt quickly

Shift Information:

  • Flex Schedule: Start times between 5:00 AM - 6:30 AM
  • On Call Requirements: Must reside within 30 minutes of the hospital. On-call duty one weekend/month, including New Year's Eve.
  • Weekend Rotation: One weekend of on-call per month
  • Holiday Requirements: On-call on New Year’s Eve
  • Floating Requirements: As needed per hospital policy
