Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) to join our dynamic virtual team in California. As a 1099 independent contractor, you will have the flexibility to work from home while providing specialized virtual instruction to students with hearing impairments. You will be fully supported by a clinical and technical team and will have access to a comprehensive toolkit designed to assist in delivering creative and effective lessons.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide virtual teaching services to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
  • Develop and implement personalized lesson plans and IEPs
  • Conduct assessments and track student progress
  • Collaborate with families, teachers, and other professionals to ensure student success
  • Utilize our digital platform and resources to create engaging, interactive lessons

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing
  • Active California certification or licensure in Deaf Education
  • Experience working with Deaf and Hard of Hearing students
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently
  • Experience with virtual teaching is preferred, but not required
