Job Description

Position: Special Education Teacher (Full-Time & Part-Time)
Location: Vancouver School District 37, Vancouver, WA
Contract Duration: ASAP – June 2nd (End of School Year)

About the Role:
Vancouver School District is seeking 3 Special Education Teachers to support students in a resource room setting. This position is available as both full-time (37.5 hours/week) and part-time (0.5 FTE). You'll work with students who receive limited special education services, primarily integrated into general education classes.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct resource room support to students with mild disabilities.
Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
Collaborate with general education teachers to ensure student success.
Track student progress and adjust plans accordingly.

Caseload Details:

Full-Time (1.0 FTE): 11-35 students, with varying paraeducator support
Part-Time (0.5 FTE): 1-10 students
Schools: 5 district schools (specific schools to be assigned)

Qualifications:

Washington State Special Education Certification
Experience with students who require minimal special education support
Strong communication and teamwork skills
