Job Description

I'm working with a great school district in the Portland, OR area that is in need of a Special Education Teacher for their current school year.
This will be a contract position for the remainder of the school year.

Hours: Full time- 37.5 hours per week

Job Qualifications:

Candidates must have their Oregon Special Education Teaching License
Must have previous early-education experience
Must be able to explain how you build relationships with parents and teachers
Ability to travel to the Portland, OR area for this job

Job Responsibilities:

This is a Mild to Moderate caseload
Participate as a transdisciplinary team member to complete educational assessments or children and assist in determining eligibility for Early Intervention/Early Childhood
Special Education (EI/ECSE) and School Age services based on Federal and State rules and regulations.
Case manage assigned children by completing due process forms and developing and implementing the individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) based on the education assessment information and/or periodic IFSP reviews.
