Job Title: Special Education Teacher

Location: Plymouth, MN

Position Type: Full-time

Schedule: Monday - Friday

Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team in Plymouth, MN. This full-time position provides a rewarding opportunity to support the learning and development of students with diverse needs in a collaborative and inclusive environment.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the unique needs of students.
Provide direct instruction and support to students with disabilities in both general education and special education settings.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and related service providers to create a supportive and effective learning environment.
Conduct assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed.
Design and deliver specialized programs to enhance students' academic, social, and emotional skills.
Participate in IEP meetings and advocate for students' needs and rights.
Stay current on best practices in special education and engage in ongoing professional development.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field.
Valid MN teaching license with a special education endorsement or eligibility for licensure.
Experience working with students with disabilities preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with students, families, and staff.
Patience, empathy, and a strong commitment to promoting student growth and success.
