Job Description

We are working with a school district near Glendale, Colorado to meet their need for a Special Education/Affective Needs Teacher.

Job Details:

Full time for the rest of the school year
Strong likelihood for annual renewal for the right fit
Caseload consists of students with significant emotional and behavioral needs
Classes have paraprofessional support
Responsibilities include:
- conducting observations, assessments and evaluations
- implementing Behavior Intervention Plans using a team approach
- supervising paraprofessionals
- working collaboratively with related service providers, classroom teachers, school administration, and parents
Requirements:
- Colorado Department of Education Special Education Teacher certification
- recent, relevant experience
- working knowledge and understanding of emotional needs support and behavior intervention plans
