OHIO INTERVENTION SPECIALIST

VocoVision at Sunbelt has a new opening for a fully remote School Special Education opportunity! Special Education teachers play a crucial role in the educational system by working with students who have a wide range of learning, mental, emotional, and physical disabilities.

Here are some key aspects of the role:

Assessment and Diagnosis: Intervention specialists often assess students' learning needs, cognitive abilities, and social-emotional development to identify challenges and strengths.
Work closely with educators, parents, and other specialists to create customized educational plans, like Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) or Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), tailored to the student's specific needs.
Apply various teaching strategies, accommodations, and modifications to help students overcome their challenges. This may include one-on-one tutoring, group work, or adapting classroom environments.
Track students' progress, adjusting interventions as needed to ensure that goals are being met.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, administrators, and other professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to student support.

Qualifications:

Active Ohio Licensure in Special Education with an endorsement as an Intervention Specialist,
Experience in virtual or traditional special education settings.
Strong understanding of special education laws and IEP processes.
Proficiency in virtual learning platforms and technology tools.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
