Key Qualifications:

• Valid Virginia Teacher Certification with an endorsement in SPED-Blindness/Visual Impairments for PreK-12
• Strong background in functional vision and learning assessments
• Ability to interpret eye medical reports in an educational context
• Experience in developing IEPs with appropriate goals and modifications
• Proficient in providing consultation and strategies to classroom teachers

Responsibilities:

• Conduct functional vision and learning assessments for students
• Collaborate with educators to develop and modify instructional materials
• Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
