Position: Teacher for the Visually Impaired
Location: Moline, IL
Job Duration: 2025-2026 School Year | Contract

An opportunity has arisen for dedicated professionals to provide exceptional educational support to students with visual impairments in a K-12 setting. This role is essential in fostering an inclusive learning environment where every student has the opportunity to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct educational services to students with visual impairments.
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to meet each student's unique needs.
  • Provide consultation and support to school staff regarding teaching strategies and resources for visually impaired students.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, making necessary adjustments to teaching methods and IEPs.
  • Collaborate with families, educational teams, and external agencies to ensure cohesive support for each student.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Illinois Professional Educator License.
  • Endorsement for Visually Impaired Education.
  • Experience working with students with visual impairments in an educational setting preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, staff, and families.
  • Proficient in using assistive technology and adaptive teaching strategies.
