Job Description

VocoVision is hiring a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) licensed in Michigan to provide remote support to K-12 students with visual impairments. This is an excellent opportunity to make a difference while working from home!

Position Details:

Location: Fully remote, serving students in Michigan
Schedule: Full-time or part-time options available
Contract Duration: ASAP – EOSY
Caseload: K-12 students requiring specialized instruction and accommodations for visual impairments
Responsibilities:
Provide virtual instruction and assistive technology training to students with visual impairments
Adapt curriculum materials for accessibility, including Braille and screen readers
Work collaboratively with educators, parents, and IEP teams to ensure student success
Conduct assessments and develop individualized learning plans

Required Qualifications:

Michigan Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) certification required
Experience with Braille instruction and assistive technology preferred
Minimum of 2 years of experience working with students with visual impairments
Proficiency in virtual teaching platforms and adaptive technologies
