Job Description

VocoVision is hiring a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) licensed in Michigan to provide remote support to K-12 students with visual impairments. This is an excellent opportunity to make a difference while working from home!

Position Details:

  • Location: Fully remote, serving students in Michigan
  • Schedule: Full-time or part-time options available
  • Contract Duration: ASAP – EOSY
  • Caseload: K-12 students requiring specialized instruction and accommodations for visual impairments
  • Responsibilities:
  • Provide virtual instruction and assistive technology training to students with visual impairments
  • Adapt curriculum materials for accessibility, including Braille and screen readers
  • Work collaboratively with educators, parents, and IEP teams to ensure student success
  • Conduct assessments and develop individualized learning plans

Required Qualifications:

  • Michigan Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) certification required
  • Experience with Braille instruction and assistive technology preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with students with visual impairments
  • Proficiency in virtual teaching platforms and adaptive technologies
