Position: Teacher - Deaf/Hard of Hearing
Location: Carmel, IN
Duration: Full Semester | Contract

An opportunity awaits for a dedicated Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing to provide essential support and instruction to students in a dynamic educational environment. This role focuses on fostering communication skills and creating an inclusive learning atmosphere for those with hearing impairments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct case conferences and provide case management for students with hearing difficulties.
  • Develop and implement tailored instructional strategies to meet individual student needs.
  • Collaborate closely with the Special Education Team and parents to ensure cohesive support for each student.
  • Maintain accurate records and monitor student progress, adjusting approaches as necessary.
  • Engage in regular communication with all stakeholders regarding goals, challenges, and progress.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Indiana teaching license with certification in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education.
  • Experience working directly with students who have hearing impairments.
  • Strong case management skills and the ability to navigate educational resources effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal, to engage with students and families.
  • Flexibility to accommodate varying schedules for meetings and consultations.
