Job Description

Qualifications:

  • Valid Massachusetts TDHH (Teaching Deaf and Hard of Hearing) license
  • Experience in working with diverse student populations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) effectively
  • Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and other communication methods

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive educational plans for students with hearing impairments
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to assess student needs and monitor progress
  • Facilitate a supportive and engaging classroom environment that promotes social and academic development
  • Provide ongoing communication with students, parents, and staff regarding student progress and needs
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices
