Job Description

An exciting opportunity exists for a dedicated professional to support students in a dynamic educational environment. Qualifications:

  • Current Minnesota Special Education Teaching License
  • Experience teaching Special Education, particularly in grades 6-8
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Knowledge of various teaching strategies to meet diverse needs
  • Commitment to collaboration with staff, students, and families

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement engaging lesson plans for five sections of Special Education English
  • Assess and document student progress, adjusting instruction as needed
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to ensure comprehensive student support
  • Maintain a positive and structured classroom environment conducive to learning
  • Communicate regularly with students, parents, and guardians regarding student progress and concerns
  • Participate in professional development opportunities as available

This position involves a full-time schedule, with hours from 7 AM to 3 PM, aligning with student needs. The contract runs as soon as possible until the end of the school year.
