Job Description

Sunbelt is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for an elementary school (K-5th grade) in Merriam, KS. The ideal candidate will possess a Kansas Special Education License and have a strong commitment to supporting students with diverse learning needs.

Requirements:

  • Kansas Special Education Teacher License (K-5th grade)

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and other support staff.
  • Provide instruction, interventions, and accommodations to support students with disabilities.
  • Maintain accurate student records and progress reports.
  • Foster a positive, engaging classroom environment.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and parent conferences.
