This position focuses on fostering growth and development for individuals with diverse learning needs, specifically within an elementary/middle school setting. The current schedule for this position is 35 hours per week.

Qualifications:

• Valid teaching certification in Special Education
• Experience working with elementary and/or middle school students
• Strong understanding of autism spectrum disorders and effective instructional strategies, specific to Level 2 and 3 autism.
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment

Location: Salem, NH

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs
• Collaborate with fellow educators, specialists, and support staff to enhance the learning experience
• Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed
• Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and challenges
• Create a positive and structured classroom environment that promotes social and emotional development
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in special education
