Position Overview:
Sunbelt is seeking a dedicated, NYS Certified Spanish Teacher for a full-time position in Liberty, NY. The Spanish Teacher will be responsible for creating a flexible and dynamic program that provides specialized instruction in Spanish to students in grades 7-12, including those with disabilities.

Qualifications:

• NYS Certification in Spanish (Grades 7-12).

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized programs and curricula to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
• Modify and adapt the curriculum for students with disabilities using various instructional techniques and technologies.
• Teach socially acceptable behavior as determined by each student's IEP (Individualized Education Plan).
• Establish and enforce classroom rules and procedures to maintain an effective and engaging learning environment.
• Collaborate with parents, administrators, and social workers to develop, implement, and review students' IEPs.
• Meet with parents regularly to discuss student progress and educational priorities.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive student records in accordance with district requirements.
• Supervise educational assistants as directed and foster a team-oriented classroom environment.
• Implement annual IEPs designed to promote students' educational, physical, and social/emotional development.
