Description:
Sunbelt is seeking a compassionate Full-Time Special Education Teacher for a Preschool Classroom in Lewistown, PA. The teacher will experience working with young children with special needs and a passion for supporting early childhood education. 

Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education PK-12 Certification in Pennsylvania 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for preschool students with special needs.
  • Provide instruction and support in both academic and developmental areas, focusing on early childhood skills.
  • Collaborate with other educators, therapists, and staff to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • Adapt lessons and activities to meet the individual needs of students with various disabilities.
  • Use positive behavior support techniques to encourage student engagement and success.
  • Communicate regularly with parents/guardians about student progress and development.
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and other school activities.
