Job Description

Sunbelt is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher for a Full-Time position in a Life Skills Class in Chambersburg, PA.

Qualifications:

Valid Pennsylvania Special Education License

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students in the Life Skills Class.
Provide direct instruction focusing on functional life skills, including communication, daily living, and social skills.
Collaborate with other teachers, staff, and parents to support the holistic development of students.
Adapt and modify lesson plans to meet the diverse needs of students with intellectual disabilities.
Use positive behavior management techniques to encourage student success.
Maintain regular communication with parents/guardians to update them on student progress.
Participate in school meetings, professional development, and school activities.
