Job Description

Sunbelt is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for a Full-Time position working in an MDS (Multiple Disabilities Support) Class in Chambersburg, PA.

Qualifications:

Must hold a valid Pennsylvania Special Education License.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students in the MDS class.
Provide direct support in academic, social, and life skills areas.
Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and other school professionals to support students’ needs.
Adapt lessons and materials to accommodate students with a variety of disabilities.
Implement behavioral support strategies and techniques to ensure a positive and productive learning environment.
Regularly communicate with parents/guardians to provide updates on student progress.
Attend meetings and professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in special education.
