Location: Remote Serving Michigan School District
Dates Needed: ASAP - through the end of the 20252026 school year
Schedule: Full-Time, 37.5 hours per week

Job Description:

VocoVision is partnering with a Michigan school district to hire a virtual School Social Worker (SSW) for the full 20252026 academic year. This is a fully remote opportunity for a highly qualified and licensed SSW with a strong understanding of school-based services and a passion for supporting student success.

We are looking for a proactive, experienced professional who can confidently navigate the IEP process, conduct assessments, lead Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA), develop Positive Behavior Support Plans (PBSP), and actively participate in MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports) meetings.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct and interpret assessments and evaluations as part of the special education process

• Develop and support implementation of FBAs and PBSPs

• Provide direct and indirect social work services to students

• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of IEP goals

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student learning and emotional needs

• Attend and contribute to MTSS team discussions and interventions

• Maintain documentation and compliance with state and district guidelines

Requirements:

• Masters degree in School Social Work or related field

• Active Michigan SSW License with valid 310 School Social Worker Certification

• Strong understanding of the IEP process, including assessments and compliance

• Familiarity with FBAs, PBSPs, and MTSS frameworks

• Prior experience in a school setting preferred

• Tech-savvy with the ability to navigate teletherapy platforms and digital tools

• Must pass a VocoVision tech screening and provide own secure work equipment
