Qualifications:

  • Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) in School Social Work
  • Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) or higher
  • Experience working in school settings, particularly with elementary or middle school students
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
  • Familiarity with special education processes and regulations
  • Proven ability to manage a caseload of 25-30 students

Location: Gurnee, IL

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive social work services to assigned students, addressing their emotional, social, and academic needs
  • Collaborate with special education supervisors and other professionals, including speech therapists and psychologists, to develop and implement individualized plans
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine student needs and monitor progress
  • Facilitate workshops and training sessions for staff and parents on social-emotional learning
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student interactions and progress
  • Participate in school meetings and contribute to a positive and supportive school environment
