Qualifications:

  • Valid Illinois State School Social Worker License
  • Certification as a Social Worker or Counselor
  • Experience working as a School Social Worker or Licensed School Counselor
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with staff, students, and families
  • Knowledge of K-12 education systems and policies

Location:

  • Chicago, IL

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group counseling to students, promoting social and emotional development
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student needs
  • Create and implement intervention plans tailored to students' diverse backgrounds
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify student challenges and progress
  • Facilitate workshops and training sessions on social-emotional learning
  • Maintain accurate and confidential student records in compliance with regulations
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and strategies
