Job Description

Social workers play a vital role in fostering the well-being and educational success of students in school settings. This position is focused on providing essential support and services to K-12 students, ensuring that their social, emotional, and educational needs are effectively met.

Location: Chicago, IL

Responsibilities:

  • Offer social work support and case management to students across all grade levels.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement IEP goals and strategies.
  • Conduct assessments to identify student needs and create tailored intervention plans.
  • Facilitate workshops and training sessions for staff on social-emotional learning and best practices.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential student records and documentation of services provided.
  • Advocate for student well-being and navigate them through school-related challenges.

Qualifications:

  • Valid School Social Worker License in Illinois.
  • Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with an endorsement in school social work.
  • Previous experience working with K-12 students in a school setting.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Knowledge of IEP processes and case management practices.
