We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Social Worker to join our team at a K-8 school in Elwood, IL. This full-time, contract position is an excellent opportunity for a licensed social worker looking to make a positive impact on the lives of students. The role will involve providing social, emotional, and behavioral support to students, collaborating with teachers, administrators, and parents, and developing individualized plans to promote students' overall well-being.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct social work services to students in need of support, including individual and group counseling.
• Assess students' social-emotional needs and create intervention plans.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to address student needs and develop appropriate support strategies.
• Assist with crisis intervention and conflict resolution as needed.
• Develop and implement programs that promote social-emotional learning and well-being.
• Maintain confidential records and documentation in accordance with district policies and state regulations.
• Participate in IEP meetings and support students with special needs.
• Provide resources and referrals to students and families to address external social services needs.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
• Valid and current LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) or Type 73 certification in Illinois.
• Previous experience working with children in a school setting preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed.
