Job Description

This contract position, located in Aurora, IL, focuses on supporting high school students through a comprehensive, onsite service model. With two positions available, the role involves working 35 hours per week to provide essential social-emotional support and guidance to students.

Qualifications:

  • Valid IL School Social Worker License
  • Professional Educator License with School Social Worker Endorsement
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with educators, parents, and other professionals
  • Experience in school settings preferred
  • Commitment to student well-being and academic success

Location: Aurora, IL (Onsite)

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) focusing on social-emotional needs
  • Provide individual and group counseling to students
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to create a supportive learning environment
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to discussions regarding student progress
  • Facilitate crisis intervention and provide support during emergencies
  • Engage families in the development of strategies to support student success
